About Me
Carolyn Crews was born and raised in Wendell, NC. She is a survivor of domestic violence and believes that her purpose in life is to reach out and help save as many victims of domestic violence as she possibly can. Although her early stages of childhood, adolescence and young adulthood were filled with strife and opposition, her strong will, grit and determination helped her succeed become the powerful, caring woman she is today. She has served as a mentor to domestic violence victims for over 15 years; is a motivational speaker to law enforcement, businesses and organizations and helped create a management program called “Violence in the Work Place.” She also volunteers at InterAct of Wake County, an organization that supports victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. As a member of the Speakers Bureau Adult Presenter at Interact, Carolyn speaks on domestic violence and sexual assault at churches, businesses, schools, colleges, and community groups. She strongly believes in empowering others to be in charge of their life and the master of their fate.
